ROMP, the River of Music Party:

The museum launched ROMP in 2004 as an annual museum-style celebration of all things bluegrass – the unparalleled excitement of the Pioneers of Bluegrass Gathering, the much-anticipated Legends Concert, Pioneers Recognition Ceremony, The Legends Supper, The Blue Grass Boys Reunion, the IBMA Bluegrass Hall of Fame Unveiling, non-stop performances on several stages by dozens of legendary, stellar bands from North America, Europe, and the Far East, the Bluegrass Masters Film Festival -- a full-fledged film festival featuring world premieres of films this museum has created -- tours, new exhibit openings, instrument workshops, educational forums and lectures, juried arts & crafts, clogging, picnicking, and free camping. All of this at a truly reasonable ticket price, with half price advance tickets for Museum Members, Seniors (65+), Students (any age) and active Military.  Children 12 and under are admitted free. We keep ticket prices low because we want you to come see your museum!
