In preparation for their move to a new location in spring of 2018, the International Bluegrass Music Museum (IBMM) is reaching out to the greater bluegrass community in search of artifacts and objects to highlight in the new museum.
The International Bluegrass Music Museum (IBMM), home of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, announced that Danny Clark has been hired as the Membership and Special Events Manager. This role was created to grow membership, foster engagement from the bluegrass community, and develop special events at the Museum.
As we anticipate the excitement of the new year, I immediately think about all that is in store for the International Bluegrass Music Museum and our new home currently under construction in downtown Owensboro. Unless you drive by the construction site everyday like I do, you may not have a sense of the dream that is quickly becoming a reality.
The International Bluegrass Music Museum presents A Decade of Dailey & Vincent: An American Music Journey, featuring artifacts and memorabilia from the Grammy nominated artists. Opening January 13, 2017 with a pre-show reception and concert, this will be the final exhibit at the Museum’s current location.
You are invited to take your seat as a seat donor. Your gift will allow you to become a permanent part of the 450 seat theater in the International Bluegrass Music Center. Owensboro, KY – The International Bluegrass Music Museum’s Board of Directors announced that Chris Joslin has been named as the organization’s Executive Director. Joslin is expected to begin working at the Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky on September 1.
